[HS] Mother in 80s donates land worth W1 bil. to Seoul City

A Seoul citizen in her 80s has donated two lots of 826 square meters worth 1 billion won in market value to the city. The land is located at the foot of Mt. Nam in central Seoul.

She is identified as Kang Jeong-ja living in Seocho-gu, southern Seoul.

A city official said that she has donated the land from the will of her son when he died of illness earlier. No other details on the donation are available.

The estate of the two mountain lots is located across from the Hannam Tennis Courts in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, which are valued at 295 million won according to the annual prices posted by the government.
