Seoul City said Wednesday that it will convene the 41st meeting of the foreign investment advisory council (FIAC) at the main conference hall of the building attached to City Hall at 5 p.m., Thursday.
Advisors will discuss diverse topics, such as how to attract more foreign investors, improvement of foreigners’ living environment, green growth and measures on women’s well-being.
Roland Villinger, chief of the Seoul office of McKinsey & Company, will be appointed as chairman of the council and Richrd Hill, chairman of SC Financial Holdings and president of SC First Bank, as vice chairman.
They advised on 103 projects, including the restoration of Cheonggye Stream, Han River Renaissance Project and construction of Digital Media Center.
Set up in 1999 to improve investment environment and thus to attract more investment based on experience of foreign investors, the council is comprised of 30 foreign residents, including CEOs of global corporations, representatives of foreign chambers of commerce in Korea and lawyers.
